10. Best place to eat: Texas barbecue - Snow's, Texas
The title of best BBQ joint in Texas is hotly contested in a state where the consumption of charred meats is as serious
as religion. Texas Monthly magazine does the definitive annual poll. Most recently, the magazine awarded the
title to Snow's, a rank outsider that has been trading a mere five years. Run by a former rodeo clown and an elderly
lady named Tootsie, the restaurant only opens on Saturday mornings and consists of a small number of tables around a
smoking pit.

In my last order, I received a note from you about the extra pack of sausage. I tried to call you (from Florida) but for
some reason the connection is not good. I reached you then had to hang up, next try was just static, so I wanted to email
you. You requested feedback on the new sausage. Well, all I can say is it is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. I WANT TO THANK YOU so
much for including that new package.
While we love your brisket, ribs, and sausage, I have to tell you that the sausage is by far the most wonderful sausage
in the world. For years, every time I tried a new place for BBQ, I always looked for a particular taste from when I was
a little kid growing up in the South. Back then (1950's and 1960's), we would get BBQ from an older gentleman who parked
himself not far from the Everglades. He offered only 3 items: ribs, sausage, and sweet potato pie. Only on Saturdays. He
cooked from a homemade kettle he'd set up each Friday night, his wife baked the pies. With progress and building in
Florida, he eventually had to leave his spot on the side of the road and one day he was gone, never to return.
Since then, BBQ has just been fair, especially here in Florida. But, then, we learned about Snow's. Everything is
fabulous, though I absolutely love your sausage the most. It's incredibly divine, if you can describe sausage that
way. Since your were requesting feedback on this, I wanted to let you know just how great we think it is. I look
forward to buying it again.
We are very lucky to enjoy your BBQ. It is awesome. If you were in Florida, I'd be stopping by each week and am so
glad that you will ship it here. THANK YOU A HUNDRED TIMES OVER for offering your BBQ to the world outside of Lexington.
